For the week of December 14th through December 20th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 15 calls.

December 14 — Dispatched for burning electrical wires in a home on Dukes Drive, near Countess Drive.

December 15 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Bridle Estates Drive, in the Bridle Estates development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Gordon Drive, near Valley Drive. The third call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Kings Road, near Duchess Drive.

December 16 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Christine’s Restaurant, on Oxford Valley Road. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Falls (Station 30), for Engine 0 to respond for a dwelling fire on Penns Grant Drive. The third call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Ladder 80 to respond for a dwelling fire on Meridian Circle. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at a business on South Main Street, near College Avenue.

December 17 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for burning electrical wires inside a light fixture on a wooden light pole on Covington Road, in the Makefield Glen development. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Penndel (Station 8), for Engine 0 to respond and cover their district while all their units were at a fire scene.

December 18 — Dispatched for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Ladder 80 to respond for a dwelling fire on Norwood Avenue.

December 19 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Manor Lane Florist on Yardley Morrisville Road, near Sutphin Road. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Engine 0 to respond for a dwelling fire on Prospect Avenue. The third call was for “fumes in the dwelling” at a home on Odessa Lane, in the Meetinghouse Glen development.

December 20 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Thistlewood Drive, in the Gatefield development.
