For the period of August 24th through August 30th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 7 calls.

August 24 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on University Drive, in the Sandy Run development. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Engine 80 to respond for a building fire at St Mary’s Medical Center, on University Drive. The third call was for a dwelling fire at a home on Green Ridge Road, near Harvey Avenue.

August 26— Dispatched for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Ladder 0 to respond for a building fire at the Joint Toll Bridge Commission office, on Wood Street.

August 27 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Quarry Hill Elementary School, on Quarry Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on North Crescent Boulevard, near Edgewood Road.

August 29 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Fox Hollow Drive, in the Yardley Estates development.
