For the week of November 4th through November 10th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 18 calls.

November 5 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at the Hampton Inn, in the Lower Makefield Corporate Center on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at an office in the Floral Vale Professional Park, on Yardley Langhorne Road.

November 6 — Dispatched fortwo calls. The first call was for a chimney fire at a doctor’s office on South Main Street, near Buttonwood Park Drive. The second call was for a brush fire on South Delaware Avenue, near Ferry Street.

November 7 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a business in the Oxford Oaks Shopping Center, on Big Oak Road. The second call was for a gas leak, caused by a construction crew working on Yardley Morrisville Road, near Sutphin Road.

November 8 — Dispatched for five calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Penndel (Station 8), for Rescue 80 to respond and cover their district while all their units were tied up at a fire scene. The second call was for gas fumes in a home on Creekview Lane, in the Yardley Walk development. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Buck Creek Drive, in the Buck Creek Estates development. The fourth call was for a gas leak on Yardley Morrisville Road, near Pine Grove Road. The fifth call was for a mutual aid assist to Falls (Station 30), for Engine 0 to respond for a building fire at Prime Storage, on Tyburn Road.

November 9 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at the Hampton Inn, in the Lower Makefield Corporate Center on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Ladder 80 to respond for a dwelling fire on Sterling Street, near South Norwood Avenue. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Clover Hill Court, in the Yardley Corners development. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Wilshire Drive, in the Wilshire Glen development.

November 10 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Penndel (Station 8), for Ladder 80 to respond for a building fire at Fred Beans Ford, on Lincoln Highway. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at the Hampton Inn, in the Lower Makefield Corporate Center on Stony Hill Road. The third call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Noreen Drive, near Gordon Drive.
