For the week of September 30th through October 6th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 10 calls.

October 1 — Dispatched for natural gas fumes in the area of a home on South Main Street, near Reading Avenue.

October 2 — Dispatched for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Glen Oak Drive, near Freedom Drive.

October 3 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Heritage Oak Drive, near Penn Oak Circle. The second call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Denny Drive, near Weber Drive.

October 4 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for natural gas fumes in the area of Yardley Langhorne Road and Interstate 295. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 21), for Ladder 80 to respond for a fire at St Mary’s Hospital, on Langhorne Newtown Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Heller Drive, in the Makefield Chase development.

October 6 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for burning electrical wires in a home on Keats Road, near Rickert Drive. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Arden Courts Nursing Home, on Stony Hill Road. The third call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Sheffield Drive, in the Makefield Glen development.
