For the week of August 21 st through August 27 th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 16 calls.

August 21 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home
on Cedar Hollow Drive, in the Makefield Glen development. The second call was for a mutual aid assist
to Fairless Hills (Station 31), for Rescue 80 to respond to a building fire on Lincoln Highway. The third
call was for an activated fire alarm at Spring Village Nursing Home, on Township Line Road.
August 22 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at the
Chinmaya Mission Center on Big Oak Road. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville
(Station 98), for Ladder 0 to respond for a dwelling fire on Big Oak Road, near West Trenton Avenue,
and for Engine 80 to respond to their firehouse and cover their district. The third call was for an
activated fire alarm at a home on Bluebird Drive, in the Heacock Meadows development.
August 23 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Patrick Lane, near Rita Road.
August 24 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville
(Station 98), for Ladder 0 to respond for a dwelling fire on Grandview Avenue, near Melvin Avenue.
The second call was for a gas grill fire at a home on Planter Drive, in the Willow Wisp Farms
development.
August 25 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at the
Chinmaya Mission Center on Big Oak Road. The second call was for a special assignment to assist the
squad with a patient on Emerald Drive. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at the Continental
Tavern on Main Street. The fourth call was for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Ladder
0 to respond for an apartment fire at Colonial Gardens, on Plaza Boulevard.
August 26 — Dispatched for two calls. Both calls were for a burning odor in the home on
Windsor Road, near Jervue Drive.
August 27 — Dispatched for a possible dwelling fire at a home on Windsor Road, near Jervue
Drive.
