| For the week of September 28th through October 4th, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 9 calls.
September 29 --- Dispatched to investigate "fumes in the area" on I-95, between Township Line Road and the railroad overpass.
October 1--- Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Shadybrook Drive. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Quarry Hill Elementary School, on Quarry Road.
October 2 --- Dispatched for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Covington Road, in the Makefield Glen development.
October 3--- Dispatched for three calls. The first call was dispatched for a dwelling fire with smoke in the basement, at a home on East College Avenue. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Kenneth Lane. The third call was dispatched for a fire investigation of smoke in the area of Dolington Road and Farmview Drive.
October 4 --- Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on University Drive, near Harvard Drive. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Shelly Lane, in the Westover development.
