| For the week of August 10th through August 16th, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 9 calls.
August 10 --- Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a truck fire on I-95, in the area of the Scudders Falls Bridge. The second call was dispatched for an activated fire alarm at an office building in the Lower Makefield Corporate Center, on Township Line Road.
August 11 --- Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Black Rock Road, in the River Glen development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on River Road, near Fenwood Place.
August 12 --- Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at Makefield Elementary School, on Makefield Road.
August 14 --- Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Engine 80 to respond for an activated fire alarm at a home on Chilton Road. The second call was dispatched for an auto extrication just outside the Yardley Corners development, at the intersection of Oxford Valley Road and Mount Pleasant Drive. The third call was dispatched minutes later for a mutual aid assist to Upper Makefield (Station 71), for a marine rescue on the Delaware River, in the area of General Washington Memorial Drive.
August 15 --- Dispatched for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Sherwood Drive, in the Wynnewood development.
