| For the week of July 27th through August 2nd, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 16 calls.
July 27 --- Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 21), for Engine 80 to respond for a dwelling fire on Kilburn Road. The second call was dispatched for a fuel spill on East College Avenue, near Longshore Avenue. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at Sunrise Assisted Living on Stony Hill Road.
July 28 --- Dispatched on a mutual aid assist to Falls (Station 30), for Rescue 0 to respond for "fumes inside the structure" at the Castle Club Apartments on West Trenton Avenue.
July 29 --- Dispatched for a dwelling fire on Hayfield Drive, in the Clearview Estates development.
July 30 --- Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient in the Sutphin Pines development. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Engine 80 to respond for a building fire at Pennswood Village Nursing Home on Langhorne Newtown Road. The third call was dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Timber Lakes Drive, in the Timber Lakes development.
July 31 --- Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a stand-by at the scene of an accident at the intersection of Taylorsville and Woodside Roads. The second call was for a dwelling fire on Heritage Oak Drive, near Penn Oak Circle.
August 1 --- Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a business in the Floral Vale Professional Park, off Township Line Road.
August 2 --- Dispatched for five calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Beechwood Lane, off Dolington Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Springtree Lane, off Black Rock Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at Sunrise Assisted Living on Stony Hill Road. The fourth call was for burning electrical wires on a pole, during a storm, at the intersection of Taylorsville and Woodside Roads. The fifth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on River Road, near Black Rock Road.
