For the week of October 5th through October 11th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 10 calls.

October 6 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Berkshire Bank, in the Lower Makefield Shopping Center on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a business in the Floral Vale Professional Park, on Yardley Langhorne Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Moon Drive, in the Wynnewood development.

October 7 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on River Road, near Michael Road. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Falls (Station 30), for Ladder 80 to respond for an extinguished dwelling fire on Fletcher Drive.

October 9 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Keating Drive, near Marlboro Road.

October 10 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at Arden Courts Nursing Home, on Stony Hill Road.

October 11 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient at a home on Big Oak Road, near Derbyshire Road. The second call was for a special assignment to assist the police with an investigation at Pennwood Middle School, on Makefield Road. The third call was for a “standby” at an accident scene on Big Oak Road, near Oak View Drive.
