For the week of March 30th through April 5th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 10 calls.

March 30 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Brookfield Road, in the Farmview development.

April 1 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Orchard Way, near Green Ridge Road.

April 2 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Artis Senior Living, on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Christine’s Restaurant, on Oxford Valley Road. The third call was for “gas fumes inside the home” on Cedar Hollow Drive, in the Makefield Glen development.

April 3 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a fire in the mulch piles in the rear of Shady Brook Farm, on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Manor Care Health Services, on Oxford Valley Road.

April 5— Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Kenneth Lane, in the Buck Creek Estates development. The second call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Bridle Estates Drive, in the Bridle Estates development. The third call was for a gas grill fire at a home on Southridge Circle, in the Hidden Oaks development.
