For the week of March 2nd through March 8th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 11 calls.

March 2 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Kings Road, near Countess Drive. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on West College Avenue, near Fairway Drive. The third call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on East Wellington Road, in the Yardley Run development.

March 3 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Ladder 0 to respond for a building fire on Wood Street, near Bank Street. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Lance Lane, in the Buck Creek development. The third call was for “smoke in the building” at Arden Courts Nursing Home, on Stony Hill Road.

March 4 — Dispatched for a fire investigation in the area of Big Oak Road and Stony Hill Road.

March 5 — Dispatched for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 22), for Rescue 80 to respond for an auto extrication on North Woodbourne Road, near Yardley Langhorne Road.

March 7 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Surrey Lane, in the Bridle Estates development. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Falls (Station 30), for Ladder 0 to respond for an apartment fire at the Rock Springs Apartments, on West Trenton Avenue.

March 8 — Dispatched for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Thrush Court, in the Heacock Meadows development.
