For the period of December 27th through January 5th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 14 calls.

December 27 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Longmeadow Lane, in the Hidden Oaks development.

December 28 — Dispatched for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Woodford Lane, in the Heacock Meadows development.

December 29 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home in the Rose Hollow development, near Trellis Circle. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at the Hampton Inn, in the Lower Makefield Corporate Center on Stony Hill Road.

December 30 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on North Bradford Road, in the Yardley Run development. The second call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Springtree Lane, near Black Rock Road. The third call was for burning electrical wires near a home on Freedom Drive, in the Centennial Village development.

December 31 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Brentwood Road, in the Makefield Brook development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Brookfield Road, in the Farmview development. The third call was for a working dwelling fire on Highland Drive, near Concord Lane, that required mutual aid from several neighboring fire companies. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Duchess Drive, near Countess Drive.

January 3 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Ladder 80 to respond for “fumes in the dwelling” on Yeates Alley, near Sebastian Alley. The second call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Bridle Estates Drive, near Surrey Lane.

January 5 — Dispatched for an auto extrication at the intersection of Yardley Morrisville Road and Mahlon Drive, where a car struck a pole.

For the year 2019, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 588 calls, which is 25 calls less than in 2018.
