For the week of September 23rd through September 29th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 15 calls.

September 23 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Rittenhouse Village Nursing Home, on Township Line Road. The second call was for an auto extrication on Interstate 295, just east of the Route 1 exit, for a vehicle overturned and into the woods.

September 24 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 22), for Ladder 80 to respond for a dwelling fire on Paxon Lane, in the Highland Gate development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at William Penn Middle School, on Derbyshire Road.

September 25 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Clydesdale Circle, near Shetland Court. The second call was for a dwelling fire on Long Meadow Lane, in the Hidden Oaks development. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Alton Road, near Terracedale Road. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Bayberry Lane, in the Heacock Meadows development.

September 26 — Dispatched for gasoline fumes in the area of Makefield Road and Big Oak Road.

September 27 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Sheffield Road, in the Makefield Glen development. The second call was for a natural gas odor in the area of Reading Avenue and South Main Street.

September 28 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on North Edgewater Avenue, near Brown Street. The second call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient in the Rose Hollow development, off Cardinal Road.

September 29 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the homeowner on Dukes Drive, near Kings Road. The second call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on University Drive, in the Sandy Run development.
