For the week of May 27th through June 2nd the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 12 calls.

May 28 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Drew Drive, in the Buck Creek development. The second call was for “fumes in the dwelling” at a home on South Kimbles Drive, in the Farmview development.

May 29 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for burning electrical wires on a pole in the rear of a home on Springdale Terrace, near Daleview Drive. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to the City of Trenton, for Ladder 0 to respond to Trenton Headquarters on Perry Street, and cover their district while all their units were tied up at a fire scene.

May 31 — Dispatched for five calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Drew Drive, in the Buck Creek development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Arden Courts Nursing Home, on Stony Hill Road. The third call was for a building fire at the Lower Makefield Corporate Center, on Township Line Road. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at St. John’s Parish Center, on Big Oak Road. The fifth call was for “fumes in the area” of Taylorsville Road and Interstate 295.

June 1 — Dispatched for a special assignment to assist the homeowner on Erin Court, in the Valley Green development, where a deer had fallen into a deep window well.

June 2 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Stony Hill Road, near Bluestone Drive. The second call was for burning electrical wires inside a home on West Wellington Road, in the Yardley Run development.
