For the week of March 24th through March 31st the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 16 calls.

March 25 — Dispatched for five calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient at a home on Kathy Drive, in the Yardley Crossing development. The second call was for a fire investigation on Stony Hill Road, near Big Oak Road. The third call was for gas fumes near a home on Powderhorn Drive, in the Dolington Estates development. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at Quarry Hill Elementary School, on Quarry Road. The fifth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Bluebird Drive, in the Heacock Meadows development.

March 26 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Ladder 0 to respond for a working fire at a home on Latona Road. The second call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Riverview Avenue, near Cold Spring Avenue.

March 27 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Horseshoe Bend, in the Fairfield development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Amber Drive, in the Dolington Estates development. The third call was for an activated water flow alarm at McCaffrey’s Market, on Heacock Road.

March 28 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a dwelling fire on Hidden Oaks Drive, near Bluestone Drive, in the Hidden Oaks development. The second call was for a fire investigation in the area of Jade Road and Moyer Road.

March 29 — Dispatched for a brush fire on Boxwood Drive, in the Dolington Estates development.

March 30 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Friar Drive, in the Wynnewood development.

March 31 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at the CVS Pharmacy, on Oxford Valley Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Christine’s Restaurant, on Oxford Valley Road.
