For the week of February 18th through February 24th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 14 calls.

February 18 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a trash can on fire in front of a home on South Milton Drive, in the Wynnewood development. The second call was for an auto extrication on I 295, just east of the Yardley Newtown exit.

February 20 — Dispatched for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Springdale Terrace, near Anderson Road.

February 21 — Dispatched for five calls. The first call was for an auto extrication on Big Oak Road, near Acorn Drive, where a car collided with a school bus. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Bayberry Lane, in the Heacock Meadows development. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Countess Drive, near Kings Road. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Bayberry Lane, in the Heacock Meadows development. The fifth call was for a car fire in the parking lot for the Oxford Oaks Shopping Center, on Big Oak Road.

¬†February 22 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated alarm at the Continental Tavern, on North Main Street. The second call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Heritage Oak Drive, in the Heritage Oaks development.

February 23 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a brush fire on Big Oak Road, near Fern Drive, where newly shredded wood chips caught fire. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Thistlewood Drive, in the Gatefield development.

February 24 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on North Crescent Boulevard, near Edgewood Drive. The second call was for a brush fire at the wood chip pile on Big Oak Road, near Fern Drive.
