For the week of October 8th through October 14th, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 13 calls.

October 8 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated water flow alarm at the Yardley Country Club, on Reading Avenue. The second call was for a rubbish fire at the intersection of Yardley Newtown Road and Creamery Road. The third call was for a dwelling fire on Brookfield Road, in the Farmview development.

October 10 — Dispatched for a small mulch fire in the rear of the office building on Township Line Road.

October 11 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Marlboro Road, near Big Oak Road.

October 13 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Milton Drive, in the Wynnewood development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on West Melissa Circle, in the Chestnut Woods development.

October 14 — Dispatched for six calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Spruce Mill Drive, in the Makefield Glen development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at the Beth El Synagogue, on Stony Hill Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Drew Drive, in the Buck Creek development. The fourth call was for burning electrical wires on a pole on Yardley Morrisville Road, near Orchard Way. The fifth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Highland Drive, near Plymouth Drive. The sixth call was for an activated fire alarm at Edgewood Elementary School, on Oxford Valley Road.
