For the week of October 15th through October 21st, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 13 calls.

 

October 16 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for a working fire on Yardley Morrisville Road, by Vernon Lane, in the Westover development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Beechwood Lane, near Dolington Road. The third call was for burning electrical wires on a pole, at the intersection River Road and Fenwood Road. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Lexington Drive, in the Yardley Hunt development.

October 18 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Quarry Hill Elementary School, on Quarry Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at the Continental Tavern, on Main Street. The third call was for a dwelling fire on Brentwood Road, in the Makefield Brook development.

October 19 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for “fumes inside the dwelling” at a home on Robin Hood Drive, in the Wynnewood development. The second call was for “fumes inside the dwelling” at a home on Waltham Court, in the Makefield Glen development.

October 20 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a fire investigation at a home in the Yardley Commons development, off South Main Street. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at the ShopRite Store, in the Oxford Oaks shopping Center on Big Oak Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Robin Hood Drive, in the Wynnewood development.   

October 21 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at the Church of Latter Day Saints, on Pine Grove Road.
