For the week of September 10th through September 16th, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 12 calls.

September 10 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on South Main Street, near Letchworth Avenue. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Bridle Court, in the Fairfield development.

 September 11 — Dispatched for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 22), for Ladder 80 to respond for a building fire at the Styer’s Orchards office, on Woodbourne Road.

September 12 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Princeton Drive, in the Sandy Run development. The second call was for a working fire at a home on Pennsylvania Avenue, near East College Avenue. The third call was for burning electrical wires on a pole on Greenridge Road, near Orchard Way.

September 13 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a fuel spill at the intersection of Main Street and Afton Avenue. The second call was for a wash down of sludge at the intersection of Main Street and Afton Avenue.

September 14 — Dispatched for a building fire at the water treatment facility on Edgewood Road, near the railroad crossing.

 September 15 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at Rittenhouse Nursing Home, on Township Line Road.

September 16 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a working house fire on Friar Drive, in the Wynnewood development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Plough Share Road, in the Willow Wisp development.
