For the week of January 15th through January 21st the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 11 calls.

January 15 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a building fire at the Giant Food Store, in the Lower Makefield Shopping Center on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Upper Makefield (Station 71), for Ladder 0 and Engine 80 to respond for a building fire at the Amber Beech Kennel, on Taylorsville Road.

January 16 — Dispatched for Four calls. The first call was for a fire investigation on Springdale Terrace, near Friar Drive. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 22), for Engine 80 to respond for a dwelling fire on Bridgetown Pike, near Route 413. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on University Drive, in the Sandy Run development. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at Afton Elementary School, on Quarry Road.

January 18 — Dispatched for an auto extrication on Pine Grove Road, near Norway Drive.

¬†January 19 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Moon Drive, in the Wynnewood development. The second call was for burning electrical wires at the Yardley Train Station, on South Main Street. The third call was for a fuel spill at the Shell gas station on Oxford Valley Road.

January 20 — Dispatched for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Coolidge Way, in the Regency development.
