For the two-week period of January 22nd through February 4th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 21 calls.

January 22 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home in the Cornerstone development, off Township Line Road.

January 23 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Emerald Drive, near Woodview Road.

 January 24 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Marlboro Road, near Big Oak Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Afton Elementary School, on Quarry Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at the Township pole barn, on Edgewood Road.

January 25 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Bluebird Drive, in the Heacock Meadows development. The second call was for a dwelling fire on Powderhorn Drive, in the Dolington Estates development.

January 28 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Christine’s Restaurant, on Oxford Valley Road. The second call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Noreen Drive, near Valley Drive.

 January 29 — Dispatched for an apartment fire on South Dove Road, in the Heacock Meadows development.

January 30 — Dispatched for natural gas fumes outside a home on Weinmann Way, near Serene Lane.

 January 31— Dispatched for five calls. The first call was for an activated water flow alarm at a home in the Cornerstone development, off Township Line Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Stackhouse Drive, near Stacy Drive. The third call was for a burning electrical odor inside the building at the Grey Nuns School, on Quarry Road, The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Forest Road, in the Wynnewood development. The fifth call was for an odor of natural gas fumes in the area of the Yardley Crossing development, on River Road.

February 1 — Dispatched for a rescue box for a vehicle into the building, on Lynbrooke Drive, in the Brookstone development.

February 2 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Mill Road, near Edgewood Road.

 

February 4 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Upper Makefield (Station 71), for Ladder 0 and Engine 0 to respond for a dwelling fire on Jericho Run Road, near Jonathan Way. The second call was for an auto extrication on Interstate 95, just south of the Yardley rest area, in the southbound lanes. The third call was for natural gas fumes outside a home on Ramsey Road, near South Crescent Boulevard.
