For the week of October 16 th through October 22 nd the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 11 calls.

October 16 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the
squad with a patient in the Sutphin Pines development, off Sutphin Road. The second call was for a
special assignment to assist the police at a home in the Sutphin Pines development, off Sutphin Road.
The third call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 22), for Ladder 80 and Engine 80 to
respond for a dwelling fire on Gunning Lane, in the Maple Point development.
October 17 — Dispatched for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient in the
Sutphin Pines development, off Sutphin Road.
October 18 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an apartment fire in the Yardley
Commons development, off South Main Street. The second call was for a CSX locomotive fire in the
area of the Yardley train station, on South Main Street and Reading Avenue.
October 19 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at Manor Care Health Services, on Oxford
Valley Road.
October 20 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Riverdale Road, in the
Manor Gate development.
October 21 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a business on South Main Street, near
Letchworth Avenue.
October 22 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home
on Princess Drive, in the Edgewood Park development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm
at a home on Lehigh Drive, in the Sandy Run development.
Year to date, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 443 calls. For
