For the week of November 6 th through November 12 th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 13 calls.

November 6 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne
(Station 22), for Engine 80 to respond for burning electrical wires inside the Styers Farm store, on
Woodburne Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a business on South Main Street,
near Afton Avenue. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Clover Hill Court, in the
Yardley Corners development. The fourth call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Bradford
Road, in the Yardley Run development.
November 8 — Dispatched for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Lynbrooke
Drive, in the Brookstone development.
November 9 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for “natural gas fumes in the area”
of Lindenhurst Road and Woodside Road. The second call was for “fumes inside the dwelling” at a
home on Robins Court, in the Hidden Oaks development.
November 10 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a dwelling fire on Lang Court,
in the Hidden Oaks development. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45),
for Engine 80 to respond for a building fire at a business on North State Street. The third call was for a
mutual aid assist to Fairless Hill (Station 31), for Ladder 80 to respond for a building fire at the General
Motors Warehouse on Stony Hill Road.
November 11 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at the Church of Latter Day Saints, on
Pine Grove Road.
November 12 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at the
Hampton Inn, in the Lower Makefield Corporate Center on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for an
activated fire alarm at a home on Silo Road, in the Mirror Lake development.
