For the week of September 4 th through September 10 th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 14 calls.

September 4 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a
home on Weinmann Way, near Moyer Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home
on Taylorsville Road, near Woodside Road. The third call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne
(Station 22), for Rescue 80 to respond for an auto extrication at the intersection of Yardley Langhorne
Road and Woodburne Road.
September 5 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for an activated carbon monoxide
alarm at a home on University Drive, in the Sandy Run development. The second call was for an
activated fire alarm at a business on South Main Street, near Letchworth Avenue. The third call was for
a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Palmer Farm Drive, near Satter Court. The
fourth call was for burning electrical wires on a pole at the intersection of Stony Hill Road and Yardley
Langhorne Road.
September 6 — Dispatched for a dwelling fire on Cadwallader Court, near Penn Valley Drive.
September 7 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a
home on Pinnacle Circle, in the Yardley Crest development. The second call was for a working fire at a
home on Breece Drive, near West Afton Avenue. The third call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown
(Station 45), for Ladder 80 and Engine 80 to respond for a working fire at the Newtown Athletic Club,
on Pheasant Run Road.
September 10 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a
home on Cedar Hollow Drive, in the Makefield Glen development. The second call was for an activated
fire alarm at a home on Tudor Lane, in the Westover development. The third call was for an activated
fire alarm at a home on Dolington Road, near Quarry Road.
