For the week of August 7 th through August 13 th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 6 calls.

August 7 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Kilby Drive, near Ramsey
Road.
August 9 — Dispatched for a mutual aid assist to Falls (Station 30), for Ladder 0 to respond
and cover their district while all their units were tied up at a building fire at Sims Metal Management,
on South Steel Road. This cover went on for almost 9 hours.
August 10 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at Starbucks on North Main Street.
August 11 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Arden
Courts Nursing Home, on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for a dwelling fire at a home on Powder
Horn Drive, in the Dolington Estates development.
August 12 — Dispatched for burning electrical wires in a home on Heritage Oak Drive, off
Heacock Road.
Year to date, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 356 calls. For
