For the week of August 14 th through August 20 th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 6 calls.

August 14 — Dispatched for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Spruce
Mill Drive, in the Makefield Glen development.
August 15 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home
on South Delaware Avenue, near Letchworth Avenue. The second call was for a dwelling fire on
Makefield Road, near Roelofs Road.
August 17 — Dispatched for an accident with fire on Edgewood Road, near Long Acre Lane,
where a vehicle crashed into a tree in the early morning hours.
August 18 — Dispatched for a dwelling fire on Stony Hill Road, near Oxford Valley Road, where
a house was struck by lightning during a storm.
August 20 — Dispatched for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Engine 0 to
respond for a building fire at the toll bridge commission building at the Route 1 superhighway.
Year to date, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 362 calls. For
