For the week of June 26 th through July 2 nd the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 11 calls.

June 26 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Pennwood
Middle School, on Makefield Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Kohls
Department Store, in the Oxford Oaks Shopping Center on Big Oak Road.
June 27 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Sterling Road, in the
Brookstone development.
June 28 — Dispatched for a dumpster fire near St. John the Evangelist School, on Big Oak Road.
June 30 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a dwelling fire on Honeysuckle
Court, in the Hidden Oaks development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Spring
Village Nursing Home, on Township Line Road. The third call was for a fire investigation near the
intersection of Covington Road and Danbury Court, in the Makefield Glen development.
July 1 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on
Scammel Drive, near Yardley Langhorne Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Spring
Village Nursing Home, on Township Line Road.
July 2 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a dwelling fire on Black Rock Road, near
Wendover Road in the River Glen development. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at
Spring Village Nursing Home, on Township Line Road.
Year to date, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 281 calls. For
