For the week of July 3 rd through July 9 th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 15 calls.

July 3 — Dispatched for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Cedar
Hollow drive, in the Makefield Glen development.
July 4 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm
at a home on Wilshire Drive, off Dolington Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a
home on Farmview Drive, near Leedoms Drive. The third call was for a dumpster fire in the rear of
Charles Boehm Middle School, on Big Oak Road.
July 5 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad
with a patient on Kings Road, near Princess Drive. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at
Afton Elementary School, on Quarry Road.
July 6 — Dispatched for burning electrical wires on a pole in front of the Wawa Store on South
Main Street.
July 7 — Dispatched for six calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad
with a patient on Yorkshire Drive, in the Afton Chase development. The second call was for an
activated fire alarm at Afton Elementary School, on Quarry Road. The third call was for a mutual aid
assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Ladder 0 to respond for a working house fire on Barclay Avenue,
near Harding Avenue. The fourth call was for “fumes in the building” at the Clubhouse for the
Makefield Glen development, on Covington Road. The fifth call was for an activated carbon monoxide
alarm at a home on Friar Drive, in the Wynnewood development. The sixth call was for an activated
fire alarm at a home on Moyer Road, near Oxford Valley Road.
July 8 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a truck fire in the rear of the Long &
Foster building, on South Main Street. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Upper Makefield
(Station 71), for the marine unit to respond for a river rescue on the Delaware River.
Year to date, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 296 calls. For
