For the week of May 8th through May 14th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 17 calls.

May 8 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient at a business in the Oxford Oaks Shopping Center, on Big Oak Road. The second call was for “fumes inside the home” on Hidden Pond Drive, off Stony Hill Road.

May 9 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mulch fire at the entrance to the Brookstone development, on Township Line Road. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Falls (Station 30), for Engine 0 to respond for an apartment fire at Castle Club Apartments, on West Trenton Avenue. The third call was for a dwelling fire on Lynbrooke Drive, in the Brookstone development.

May 10 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Ladder 80 to respond and cover their station while all their units were tied up at a fire at Society Place. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Gainsway Road, in the Carriage Hill development.

 May 11 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Madison Drive, in the Yardley Hunt development. The second call was for a dwelling fire on Brookfield Road, in the Brookfield development. The third call was for a dwelling fire at a home in the Rose Hollow development, off Cardinal Drive.

May 12 — Dispatched for an activated fire alarm at the Santander Bank on South Main Street.

May 13 — Dispatched for four calls. The first call was for “fumes in the dwelling” at a home on Silverwood Drive, in the Dolington Estates development. The second call was for a stuck elevator at the Hampton Inn, in the Lower Makefield Corporate Center on Stony Hill Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at the Hampton Inn. The fourth call was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Keswick Drive, near Manor Gate Drive.

May 14 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Pinnacle Circle, in the Yardley Crest development. The second call was for a dwelling fire on Clover Hill Court, in the Yardley Corners development.
