For the week of May 1st through May 7th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 12 calls.

May 1 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Ladder 0 to respond for a dwelling fire on Stockham Avenue, near West Palmer Street. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Meetinghouse Lane, near Dolington Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Van Horn Avenue, near Harper Avenue.

May 2 — Dispatched for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Roelofs Road, near Marsha Terrace.

May 4 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Afton Elementary School, on Quarry Road. The second call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 22), for Ladder 80 to respond for a dwelling fire on Newgate Road, near Briggs Road. The third call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Heather Ridge Drive, near Ashley Road.

May 5 — Dispatched for burning electrical wires inside a home on Randolph Drive, in the Yardley Hunt development.

May 6 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at Manor Care Health Services, on Oxford Valley Road. The second call was for burning electrical wires on a pole near William Penn Middle School, on Derbyshire Road.

May 7 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Falls (Station 30), for Ladder 0 to respond for “fumes in the dwelling” on Oxford Road, near Alden Avenue. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Mill Road, near Edgewood Road.
