For the week of January 23rd through January 29th the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 12 calls.
January 23 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Northampton (Station 3), for Tower 80 to respond and cover their district while all their units were tied up at a second alarm fire at Villa Joseph Marie School. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at St. Ignatius School, on Reading Avenue. The third call was for a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Ladder 0 to respond for “fumes in the apartment” at the Orchard View Apartments on Plaza Boulevard.
January 24 — Dispatched for a car fire on Yardley Newtown Road, near the entrance to Interstate 95.
January 25 — Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Langhorne (Station 21), for Rescue 80 to respond for an auto extrication at the intersection of Yardley Langhorne Road and Woodbourne Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Glen Drive, in the River Glen development. The third call was for an “accident with fire” on Mirror Lake Road, near Stapler Drive.
January 27 — Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at the Hampton Inn, in the Lower Makefield Corporate Center on Stony Hill Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Revere Drive, in the Yardley Hunt development.
January 28 — Dispatched for “fumes in the dwelling” at a home on Colts Lane, in the Bridle Estates development.
January 29— Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for an a mutual aid assist to Morrisville (Station 98), for Rescue 0 to respond for an apartment fire at Colonial Gardens, on Plaza Boulevard. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Barbara Drive, near Wilbur Road.
